Other than cold beer, this place is awful. Had the egg burger with fries. Burger is bland no seasoning. Fries Sat under the heat lamp way too lo g. Wife had a chicken fried steak with more gristle than steak, the mashed potatoes were real and had decent texture and taste, the green beans were frozen not fresh. The chicken tortilla soup was heavy on the tortilla. The kids cheese pizza was nothing more than a nuked Totino's pizza. Would not recommend, unless you are stopping in for a beer. The waitress we had was bad to say the least. Had no clue about the menu and don't think she has ever eaten there. Should have been a clue

Food was good, although nothing really special, when it finally arrived 45 minutes after we ordered it. The manager offered us chips and salsa maybe 5 minutes before our food arrived. She explained that there was a party of 42 people ahead of us. I'm sorry, but nobody shows up at the door with a party that large without calling ahead...call in more staff when you take that reservation. Honestly, if we had been offered the chips the first time the waitress apologized for the length of the wait (we hadn't complained, she just volunteered an apology), we would've been ok. 45 minutes is a ridiculous wait for salad, soup, a club sandwich and some nachos.

Nice staff but food took forever and wasn't anything spectacular. Mountain oysters were overcooked, burger was alright, fries and onion rings were of the frozen variety. Pretty much same food as everybody else. Probably wouldn't eat here again.

I have been here a million times. The atmosphere can either be in a traditional dining area or you can choose the pub/bar area. Both have great service and great food. I have also used the "train car" for special parties. The "train car" is an actual traditional dining train car, very antique and authentic. The bar side of the restaurant has a long bar, bar tables, dance floor and stage. Great place for large family or business parties. The management brings big name bands for concerts almost weekly. It is very impressive for the small town. During Dodge City days the have outdoor street dances. The restaurant side has the perfect combination of large round tables and small square tables. There is an antique style bar, but it is not bar attitude, very family oriented. The menu has a great variety. Food is great. They have new burgers on the menu, can't wait to try them. My favorites are the salmon and the carne asada and shrimp. Management is very accommodating. If anything isn't perfect, they will fix it. Great example of a small business. Their hard work gives Dodge City a place for family and friends to spend time together.

Two stars because the train car is a special treat for train buffs. However, the food is mostly terrible. My ribeye was too tough to eat. The vegetables were clearly poured out of a freezer bag and warmed up (lukewarm). Tasted awful. (I was looking forward to fresh steamed or sauteed veggies.) We were charged $1 each for getting "everything" on our baked potatoes, despite the fact that they DON'T HAVE real butter on the premises ... only margarine. Further, the waitress did not tell us it would cost extra to get "everything" on the potato. My son's filet mignon was tender, but because he ordered the steak rare, the bacon surrounding it was nearly raw. Scary! Only the enchiladas were good. This was an incredibly disappointing experience!

This was a terrible experience. It took over 30 minutes for the food to get to our table. The server had no idea what was on the menu. Once my sandwich did show up the bread was stale and the toppings were very lean. If you want to go drink it may be good I didn't experience that but, as for the food pass pass pass! Don't make the same mistake we did.

My sister and I were looking for steak for our one night in Dodge City. This place was recommended by our hotel. The steaks were flavorful and cooked as ordered but somewhat tough. The mixed veggies were great. The baked potato was great. Sadly they did not have any butter, just fake spread. Real sour cream though. Margarehta was perfect. Edit the next morning: the left over steak was great. I now think the "toughness" issue was an ineffective steak knife.
